Every piece is made with love and the intention to make YOU feel really good inside. I am one of those people who, if they don’t have to leave the house and have a day to putter around for themselves, they stay in their pyjamas. *I usually throw a XXL, bulgy, and absolutely unflattering jumper into the mix, just for good measuren And that, my friends, is what this illustration is about. It is about that beautifully cosy moment where we take the time to plan and make time for what we want in life. Where we lean back into the soft cushions and imagine where we want to go, where we want to be, and what we want to achieve. Every piece is made with love and the intention to make YOU feel really good inside. This is for all those of us who still need to allow more flow into our lives. The natural flow of people and things that come and go. Like the movement of the ocean, there is a constant coming and going of people, things and events in your life. Some good, some bad. Often, it feels like too much. Too much of what we love is leaving, too much of what we hateis coming. Too much of what we want to keep, wants to leave. Too much of what we want to let go, wants to stay. Take yourself out of this cycle - open your arms, breathe, and surrender everything to the universe. That is all you need to do right now. Let go what wants to leave, and allow what wants to come. Surrender yourself to the possibilities, to the miracles, to the good-byes, the laughter, the tears, the reunions, the introductions... and all that wants to flow to you, or away from you. The mantra to this piece is: Everything that wants to leave may leave, and everything that wants to come to me, may come. I surrender. Watercolour and ink on watercolour paper. Original DIN A5 artwork is still available.
A lot of us have internalised beliefs that keep us miserable + secretly thinking that our emotional suffering is a necessary [and even romantic] part of the creative process.
